whelmed

Over.

Under.

I am here to tell you yes, you can be just whelmed.

(not just in Europe)

Work itself is slowing down, yes, but we're smack in the middle of harvest now. That means that even on my "day off" Jodi and I were mucking around down in the cellar, bugging Jerry (our Cellar Master), jumping out of the way of the forklifts moving literal tons of grapes around a relatively small area, investigating the progress of various fermenters... This is actually my favorite time of year in wine country.

But even now that I have a proper day off, I am daunted by all the little tasks I have on my list.

Notably:

- laundry (oh lord, I hate the laundrmat)
- dishes (equal hatred)
- drop a million things off at the post office
- continue to attempt the ins-and-outs of Photoshop so I can keep plowing through the 2,000 photos from Andrea's wedding

Smalls things. But enough to whelm me.

All that to say that's why I've been a little AWOL in blogland lately.

  2. I agree with Danielle. ^^

Can I help you with the grapes? Sounds kinda fun. Fun to someone who has no idea what all is involved with harvesting grapes and making sweet, delicious wine. ;)

  3. I have just added that word to my day.

And I'll be happy to come assist Jenn with the harvest. It will be your best yet.

  4. I'm right there with you. I don't even know why...I just feel like there is so much going on, but really none of the things on my to-do list are all that important. I just don't want to do them. : )
